His mother vividly remembers the moment they exceeded 9,800 feet and began to feel the effects of the thin air and altitude on their bodies. They persevered through the following day, encountering steep icy slopes where they relied on crampons for a secure grip. Some sections had treacherous inclines of up to forty degrees. Climbing at such elevations poses severe risks, especially with the oxygen dropping to a mere 12% in their case.
Undeterred, they pressed on and triumphantly reached the pinnacle of the great mountain after more than 48 hours. Joshua was elated at surpassing his own expectations and had to be reminded to slow down on the descent. It took them a total of six hours to return to their starting point.
Their accomplishment has been officially submitted to the Guinness Book of Records for assessment and documentation, although this is merely a formality. The real essence lies within the adventure itself, magnified by the fact that a young child could achieve such a remarkable feat, leaving us in awe.
