During a recent live performance, Justin Timberlake shared a bold message regarding reconciliation in the face of ongoing critique about his past involvement with Britney Spears.
At the recent concert, the 43-year-old artist spoke about the importance of making amends, directly addressing the backlash stemming from Britney Spears’ recent memoir, The Woman in Me.
Timberlake firmly stated, “I choose this moment to offer no apologies to anyone,” as per The Daily Mail. Following this statement, he proceeded to perform his 2002 hit “Cry Me A River,” a song long believed to reference his breakup with Spears.
The renewed focus on their former relationship was triggered by Spears’ autobiography, where she revisited various aspects of their past, including her decision to end a pregnancy while dating Timberlake and the notorious 2003 interview with Diane Sawyer. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Spears expressed regret over certain parts of her book and praised Timberlake’s latest single “Selfish.”
