The world of entertainment is grieving the loss of Lee Sun-kyun. The famed South Korean actor, best known for portraying the affluent patriarch Park Dong-ik in the Academy Award-winning movie “Parasite,” was found dead in his car, as confirmed by South Korean authorities.
In a tragic turn of events, the 48-year-old actor was discovered lifeless in a park with a charcoal briquette in the passenger seat of his vehicle. Reports indicate that Lee’s wife had alerted authorities after he departed from their residence, leaving behind what seemed to be a farewell note.
Prior to his demise, Lee was implicated in a probe concerning alleged drug consumption and possession of cannabis at a bar in Seoul. Despite refuting intentional drug use and asserting that a female employee had covertly supplied him with the substances, Lee endured 19 hours of interrogation on Sunday regarding these accusations.

Lee Sun-kyun received global acclaim for his part in “Parasite,” which earned him a Screen Actors Guild accolade.
