A gentleman in New Jersey swiftly gained popularity on social media when a picture captured him displaying a cardboard sign conveying his appreciation to local hospital staff.
In front of Morristown Medical Center, an unnamed man stood with a sign pressed against the facility’s glass windows that stated “Grateful to all in the emergency department for saving my wife’s life; I hold deep affection for all of you.”
After his sister-in-law, a nurse at the medical center, forwarded a snapshot of the man and his sign, a woman shared the image on Facebook.
“This picture was sent to me the other day and I believe it deserves wide exposure!” she exclaimed. “While I’m unsure how to make a photo go viral, I truly think this one should be circulated – so go ahead and spread it around!”
The photograph of the gentleman has indeed garnered over 61,000 shares on Facebook. This post also brought attention to a fundraising initiative on GoFundMe aimed at supporting New Jersey hospitals in securing essential medical equipment. Within just a few days, they managed to accumulate $12,000.
